As we continue reading through the New Testament, our next book is 1 Peter—a letter of encouragement and hope written to believers facing persecution.

Addressed to the “elect exiles of the Dispersion” (1 Peter 1:1), this powerful letter reminds us that, though we may experience trials, we have an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading (1 Peter 1:4). Peter calls us to stand firm in faith, trusting in Jesus, our Living Hope, who gives us courage amid opposition.

Bible Reading: The Book of Philemon

As we continue our journey through Scripture, we turn to the short yet powerful letter of Philemon. Written by the Apostle Paul, this book provides a beautiful example of forgiveness and reconciliation.

Paul appeals to Philemon to forgive his servant Onesimus, who had stolen from him and run away. But now, Onesimus is more than just a servant—he is a brother in Christ. This letter challenges us to see how Jesus reorients our relationships, calling us to extend grace, love, and unity to all people.

Let’s read together and reflect on how Christ’s love shapes the way we forgive!

Bible Reading: The Book of Titus

Join Us for a Daily Study of the New Testament – Next: Titus

We are continuing our daily journey through the New Testament, one chapter at a time, and our next stop is the book of Titus.

The last of the pastoral epistles, Titus was written to guide and support the establishment of elders and churches on the island of Crete. Paul’s letter to Titus encourages us to embrace both right beliefs through sound doctrine and right behavior through godliness.

Titus 3:1 reminds believers to “be ready for every good work,” and in doing so, we reflect the “goodness and lovingkindness of God our Savior” (Titus 3:4). As we dive into this short but impactful book, we’ll be challenged to live out our faith in practical ways, showing God’s love to the world.

Join us as we read through the book of Titus together, one chapter a day. Click the link below to join the discussion group and read along with others.

Let’s be encouraged to live out our faith with integrity, good works, and godliness, just as Titus was called to lead the believers of Crete.
