To grow spiritually, you have to be connected relationally.

Groups are a place where people have the opportunity to pursue authentic community and spiritual growth. When you join a group, you will spend time socializing, learning, and praying together. All you have to do is show up, join in, and be real.

Groups are an integral part of what we do as a church. We believe that sustained life change occurs as we are growing in a relationship with Christ, and that this happens best when we are prioritizing intentional relationships with others who are seeking this same goal.

When do groups meet?

Each Group decides when and where it wants to meet. Most groups meet at least two times a month.

What does a group look like?

Groups are small groups of approximately 8–12 individuals that meet weekly in someone’s home for sharing, study, discussion, and prayer. They’re for adults of all ages, stages of life, and spiritual maturity.

What is our process for recruiting and approving leaders?

Our primary means of identifying potential leaders is through the recommendation from an existing leader. When a potential leader is identified, he or she must be approved to lead by a staff member. The approval process for group leaders includes:

  • Completing a group leader application

  • Meeting with a staff member for an interview

  • Committing to ongoing development, beginning with a one-time Leader Orientation before or shortly after starting the group

  • We also look to see if the potential leader exhibits the 4 leaders postures we ask of our staff and leaders:

    • Humble

    • Curious

    • Teachable

    • Intentional

Every Group needs a leader and every leader needs a group.

Group leaders create a place where people can be real and grow. Along the way, they find their faith grows as well. Perhaps it’s time for you to step up and lead. Curious about leadership? Take a step to see if group leadership is right for you.
