Day 12 - February 18th 2022

READ Isaiah 55:8-9

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord.

“As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

Have you ever stopped to think about how big God is? God is boundless; we are limited. God is never failing; we fall short. God is unwavering; we change our minds. God is in control; we don’t even know what tomorrow holds. Knowing and trusting that God’s ways and thoughts are higher than our own leads to a peace that surpasses all understanding. This doesn’t happen overnight, but when we pause to acknowledge that what God has for us is better than we could imagine, limitations start to know no borders. Failures become victories. Uncertainty finds confidence. Our need to control the uncontrollable begins to vanish.

When you spend time with God, you’ll begin to understand that He knows what is best even when it isn’t clear to you. Take comfort in knowing that you serve a perfect God, who fills the gaps when you simply can’t, and who is always working all things together for your good.

What would it look like to live today fully trusting that God’s ways are better than your own?
