Day 12

“Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.” -Ephesians‬ ‭6‬:‭13‬ ( ‭NIV‬‬)

We live in a broken world. Evil lurks around every corner. The enemy is always ready to strike. How can we protect ourselves? We need to wear armor. But not just any armor, we need the full armor of God. The belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, readiness from the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God. ‭‭(Ephesians‬ ‭6‬:‭14-17)

This is how you stay ready, how you stay prepared, how you defend yourself against the evil of this world, against the devil and his wicked schemes. Immerse yourself in the word of God. Surround yourself with other believers. Spend time talking with our Father in Heaven through prayer. 

This is how you will be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 

Prayer: 

Father, equip me to defend myself against the devil and his evil schemes. Help me to know the truth, to see the truth, and to live the truth which is You Jesus. Lead, guide, and direct me Lord down the straight and narrow path towards You and help me stand tall through your mighty power. In Jesus’s name I pray, Amen.
