A Prom for People with Special Needs
Night to Shine, sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation, is a worldwide prom experience celebrating people with special needs. It takes place every year on the Friday before Valentine’s Day, hosted by churches across the globe.
Here in Tuscaloosa, our Night to Shine is known for its energetic red carpet entrance and the unforgettable joy that fills the evening. Every guest is celebrated like royalty from start to finish.
What to Expect
Arrival & Check-In
Guests are welcomed at our check-in tents and paired with a buddy who will stay by their side for the night.
Special Touches
Each guest receives a corsage or boutonniere and can choose to enjoy hair and makeup stations or a shoeshine.
Red Carpet Entrance
After a limousine ride, guests walk the red carpet while cheering crowds and paparazzi celebrate them like the stars they are.
(Sensory-friendly entrances without noise or flashing lights are also available.)
An Evening to Remember
Guests can spend the night however they choose:
Dance in the main prom space
Enjoy a catered buffet dinner
Sing in the karaoke room
Play in the game room
Relax in the sensory room
For Parents & Caregivers
While guests celebrate, families are invited to enjoy refreshments and entertainment in our Respite Room. Please register for the respite room on the Guest Registration Form under the Respite Room Registration Section.
The Crowning Ceremony
Every guest is crowned as King or Queen of the prom — a powerful reminder of the way God sees them each and every day.
