Day 18 - February 24th 2022

READ Matthew 28:18-20

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

The purpose for God's people has always been less about prioritizing our preferences and more about positioning ourselves to inspire faith in others. Out of all the missions Jesus could have made central to His movement, He chose to prioritize people. He could have made His movement about anything. Yet, after He came back to life, He decided to use His authority as a means of sending His followers to serve, love, and share their faith with a world that was seeking the life that only He could give. Two thousand years later, that mission has not changed. Jesus promises to always be with us… even when we grow weary or when we are tempted to believe our preferences should be the priority. All He asks is that we love others.

What is a tangible way you can show love to someone today? Ask Jesus to lead you toward people who need His love.
