Day 3

"For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form." - Colossians 2:9 (NIV)

In the marvel of the incarnation, Christians find profound assurance in the scriptural truth that in Christ, the fullness of the Deity resides in bodily form (Colossians 2:9). This statement anchors our faith, affirming that Jesus is not merely a great teacher or moral guide but the very embodiment of God Himself. There’s a difference. An important one. If Jesus was just a great teacher, well, we’ve had those before. And if Jesus was just a solid guide for grounded morals, well, that’s not a new thing. No. In the incarnation, God did something new: He became one of us.

The incarnation stands as a testament to God's redemptive plan. In becoming flesh, Christ bridged the gap between our Holy Heavenly Father and humanity, offering a pathway to reconciliation that wasn’t possible before. As Christians, we hold fast to the unchanging truth that the Word, eternal and divine, willingly entered the constraints of time and space for our sake.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, we thank you for the miracle of the incarnation, a cornerstone of our faith. May we stand firm in the assurance that in Christ, the fullness of your Deity dwells. Help us embody the transformative power of this truth in our lives, sharing the message of redemption with unwavering conviction. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
