TRUST ISSUES | Part 1 – A World Full of Letdowns
Big Idea: Trust is broken—but we were made for more.
Scripture: Genesis 37:1–36, Psalm 118:8–9, Isaiah 53:3–5, John 15:12–15
Key Phrase: We weren’t created to live in fear, cynicism, or isolation.
Objections We Wrestle With:
❌ “Everyone lets you down eventually.”
❌ “I’ll never trust anyone again.”
❌ “If I stay guarded, I won’t get hurt.”
Apologetic Support / Sticky Truths:
▶ When trust is broken, we wither.
▶ When trust is placed in God, hope begins to grow.
▶ You can’t rebuild trust alone—you need the God who never fails.
Challenge: This week, name the place where trust has been broken in your life—and hand it to God. The first step isn’t fixing it, but being honest about where it hurts.
