Day 8 - February 14th 2022
Psalm 139:13-14
For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
You are seen, you are known, and you have immense value. But it doesn’t always feel that way, does it? Often, our minds are so flooded with lies that we feel exactly the opposite. Valued at just over $450 million, a painting entitled “Salvator Mundi” stands as the most valuable painting in the world. Why is it worth so much? It’s nothing particularly special to most people. Its value stems from the simple fact that Leonardo da Vinci created it. One of the most famous artists in history conceived the idea and directed every brush stroke. Therefore, it is a masterpiece.
In the same way, the Creator of the universe created you with precision and love beyond explanation. You are made in the image of your Creator. When you spend time with God, you’ll begin to understand that He sees you, He knows you, and He values you more than you can comprehend. We look at material objects and know their worth—what would happen if you saw yourself how Jesus sees you?
What lie do you believe about yourself? Offer it up to Jesus with the knowledge that He created you on purpose with love to be no one but you.
