Same God - The God Who Still Shows up
Text: Exodus 3:13–15 | John 14:6
Big Idea: The God who came close hasn’t changed—and that changes everything.
Key Phrase: When you can’t find the way forward, remember—the Way found you.
Practice: Awareness • Surrender • Trust
Ascent Step: Paying Attention to God’s Presence
📖 Highlights from the Message:
▶ We all carry a picture of God—often shaped more by disappointment, silence, or hurt than by Scripture.
▶ Moses wasn’t looking for God, but God showed up anyway—revealing Himself in the middle of uncertainty and failure.
▶ When God names Himself “I AM,” He reveals His nature: present, faithful, consistent, and unchanging.
▶ God doesn’t give Moses a map—He gives him Himself.
▶ Jesus echoes the burning bush when He says, “I AM the way, the truth, and the life.”
▶ The same God who spoke from the fire stepped into flesh—Emmanuel, God with us.
▶ God still shows up today: in uncertainty, weakness, surrender, and ordinary moments we often overlook.
🙏 Challenge for This Week:
Identify one area of your life where you feel uncertain or out of control. Pray one simple prayer each day: “Same God, show me You are still here.” Then pay attention—to conversations, nudges, Scripture, and interruptions.
💡 Closing Hope:
God has never been defined by our assumptions—only by His revelation. He showed up for Moses. He showed up in Jesus. And He still shows up today. When you can’t find the way forward, remember—the Way found you.
