Most of us are not opposed to doing hard things. We do hard things all the time when we believe the result is worth it. People train for races. They start businesses. They go back to school. They fight for their marriages. They raise children. They take on debt to buy homes. They endure sleepless nights, difficult conversations, demanding schedules, and painful sacrifices because somewhere deep down, they believe the outcome is worth the cost. But when it comes to following Jesus, many of us assume it should feel easier.
