It's OK to Not Be OK

But You Don’t Have To Stay That Way

If you found this page, something brought you here. Maybe it's been building for years. Maybe it broke open this week. Maybe you don't even have words for it yet — just the heaviness of it.

Whatever it is, you don't have to carry it by yourself anymore. There's a room in Northport every Thursday night full of people who know what you're carrying — because they've carried it too.

Real Path Forward

People Who Care

Maybe You Came Here Looking for…

…help with an addiction you can't tell anyone about.

…a way through grief that won't lift.

…someone to talk to about a marriage that's quietly falling apart.

…support after a relapse you didn't see coming.

…answers about a child who's struggling and you don't know how to help.

…a place to sit with the depression, anxiety, or anger that's gotten too heavy.

…anything else you can't put into words right now.

Celebrate Recovery is for every one of those.

Not just the ones the world calls "real" problems. Not just the ones with a label. Whatever you're carrying — addiction, hurt, hang-up, or habit — there's a place for you in this room.

🕡 Every Thursday at 6:30 PM

Doors open early. Come whenever you can.

What Celebrate Recovery Actually Is

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered support community for people walking through hurts, habits, and hang-ups of every kind. It started at Saddleback Church in 1991 — and today it meets in over 35,000 churches across more than 70 countries.

Here's the part most people don't know: more than 70% of people who attend Celebrate Recovery don't come from a church background. Most people in the room are exactly like you — people who needed help, walked in scared, and found something real.

You don't need to know the Bible. You don't need to know what to call your struggle. You don't need to attend church on Sunday — ever — to be welcome on Thursday night. Celebrate Recovery is a complete community on its own.

What you'll find is honest people, practical tools, and a Higher Power who specializes in carrying what we can't carry alone.

Here's What Thursday Night Actually Looks Like

6:00 - 6:30 PM — Coffee, Food, & Fellowship

Park anywhere out front and follow the signs to the entrance. Someone will be at the entrance to welcome you and walk you to The Gallery. No sign-in, no name tag, no spotlight. Grab a cup of coffee or some food. Sit anywhere. Talk to someone or talk to no one — both are completely normal. There's no expectation that you introduce yourself.

6:30 – 7:30 PM — Worship & Teaching

A few worship songs, then a short teaching or a testimony from someone who's been where you are. You don't have to sing. You don't have to do anything.

7:30 – 8:30 PM — Open Share Groups

Smaller groups split by gender to talk about what people are walking through. You can share if you want to. You can listen if you don't. There's no pressure either way.

8:30 PM — Stay or Go

Some people stay and talk afterward. Others head home. Both are completely fine. No one will follow up unless you ask us to.

Thursday at 6:30 PM

Your Journey Toward Hope and Healing Starts Here

Not Sunday. Not a commitment. Not a conversation about your story.

Just one Thursday night. Walk in. Sit in the back. Leave whenever you need to. See if this is a place you could come back to.

You'll Recognize People Here.

Celebrate Recovery isn't just for one kind of struggle. The room you walk into on Thursday night includes people walking through all of these — and more.

"I've been sober for nine years. I still come every week."

"I came after my husband left. I didn't know where else to go."

"I've been clean for thirty days. I'm holding on by my fingertips."

"I'm here because of my kid. I needed somewhere to put down what I can't put down at home."

"I came once two years ago, left, and came back last month. They were still here."

"I don't know what's wrong yet. I just know something is."

The Questions People Ask Before Walking In.

Do I have to attend church here to come to Celebrate Recovery?

1

No. Most people who come to Celebrate Recovery at TCAT don't attend our Sunday services — and that's completely fine. Thursday night stands on its own. You're welcome here whether you ever set foot in this building on a Sunday or not.

Will anyone try to sign me up for something or ask me for money?

2

No. There's no offering, no sign-up sheet, no pressure to commit to anything. The only thing we'll ever ask you is whether you want to come back.

Is what I share confidential?

3

Yes. What's shared in the room stays in the room. Confidentiality is one of the foundational principles of Celebrate Recovery — and we hold it seriously. The only exception is if someone is at risk of harm to themselves or others, in which case our team would help connect that person to the right resources.

Do I need to talk?

4

No. You can come every single week and never say a word. Many people start that way. When you're ready to share, you will — and not a moment before.

What if I'm not a Christian?

5

What if I've relapsed or failed before?

6

What about my kids? Is childcare available?

7

I want to ask a question before Thursday. How can I do that?

8

You're still welcome. Celebrate Recovery is Christ-centered — meaning we believe Jesus is the Higher Power who carries us through our struggles — but you don't have to share that belief to attend, to share, or to belong here. Many people come in skeptical and stay because the community is real.

Then you're in the right place. Most of the people in this room have, too. Relapse isn't the end of the story — it's part of a lot of stories. We're not here to judge you. We're here to keep showing up with you.

Yes. Childcare is available every Thursday. It’s our privilege to provide exceptional care for your children, so you can focus on your own healing.

Text CR to (205) 883-8331 and we'll get back to you with details before the next meeting. If you'd rather just show up, that's completely fine too — someone will meet you at the door.
