Broken and Grateful — Week 1: The Source of Gratitude
Gratitude begins when we recognize God as the giver of every good gift.
In this first message of our Broken and Grateful series, we explore what it really means to live with a grateful heart—not as a reaction to good circumstances, but as a rhythm of worship rooted in God’s faithfulness.
Through Scripture (James 1:17–18, Colossians 2:6–7, Hebrews 13:15) and the timeless hymn Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing, we’re reminded that every good thing in our lives flows from one Source: the Father of lights. Gratitude isn’t about ignoring the broken parts of life—it’s about seeing grace still flowing in the middle of them.
You’ll hear the story behind Come, Thou Fount and the man who wrote it, Robert Robinson—a man who knew what it meant to wander and be found again. His prayer still echoes today: “Tune my heart to sing Thy grace.”
Key Idea: Gratitude is rebellion wrapped in worship.
When we remember the Source, our hearts retune to grace—and even the noise of life becomes worship.
✨ Broken and Grateful is a series about finding strength and faith in the tension—where life’s cracks become windows for grace to shine through.
